What is behind the IAG’s CTOC training?
Before we deploy IAG members to the front line in crisis or war zones, they undergo appropriate preparation and training measures.
Very few people have been in a crisis or war zone before and we wanted to prepare our members.
This approach, based on our experience in Ukraine, resulted in corresponding internal training measures, which we are now making available to other NGOs etc. following initial test runs.
In terms of content, the C.T.O.C. training is more or less a „crash course“ in the following points, which vary depending on the target group and can therefore differ:
- Tactical casualty care according to TCCC or TECC principles
- Ground sign awareness, counter IED, principles of ballistics
- Stress management/PTSD prevention
- Contents and function of personal protective equipment (IFAK, helmets, plate carriers, splinter protection, medic bags, etc.)
- Orientation without GPS, principles for frontline operations
- Contents Genver Convention, Hum. International Law, Rules of War/ Hague Land Warfare Convention
Due to our extremely broad membership base, we have the opportunity to have all documents and training content prepared and trained by specialists in their field.
- Doctors, emergency paramedics, paramedics
- active and former soldiers of the German Armed Forces, some with relevant operational experience and special qualifications
- Psychologists from the field of special forces
- Operational psychologists
- ….
We are happy to provide you with personal advice on your individual training which is also offered in english language!
